| Proper training & supervision is essential, starting
on the appropriate grade for your level of ability. DIFFICULT grades are for beginners SEVERE grades are for intermediates and EXTREME grades are for experts Climbs also carry a technical grade. The photo opposite, shows a climb at Sennen in Cornwall called 'Demo Route' graded HS4b, "Hard Severe" technical grade "4b" "E" extreme grades are very difficult and anyone climbing above E3 are very skilled indeed & a pleasure to watch. Abseiling is normally taught as a quick & easy method of descending a climb but can be a very entertaining pastime on its own. There is an extensive range of equipment available which requires knowledge & understanding.
