| Waterskiing is a well known and long established sport but for the
ordinary person it is not so readily available. When it is available, its normally very
expensive and if you try it abroad, it’s rarely possible to understand the
instructor. At Adventure St Tropez, by using appropriate equipment we have
an excellent success rate. We will teach you to ski from a deep water start on two skis, or can progress you to dropping one ski to mono skiing. If you can already achieve this, we can improve your deep water mono starts or slalom technique. We have two ski boats and warm water waiting for you. We have an infectious enthusiasm for our work and the chief instructor, Lester Cruse (pictured opposite), has been waterskiing for 35 years. He has taught thousands of people to ski. |

Jetskis or Personal Watercraft as
they are also referred to are extremely popular in the South of France,
probably due to the warm Mediterranean water as well as the versatility and user friendliness of the sit astride type. It is much
easier to waterski behind the sit type now & with the bigger engines now available
there is plenty of power for the job, even for deep water mono starts with a big guy! In the UK it is still a problem finding somewhere to launch as most resorts don’t like jetskis thanks to the idiots who have given them a bad name. We have our own private residents slipway 100m from the Gulf of St Tropez and our SeaDoo GTI can be used with few restrictions. We are able to offer jetskiing as part of our multi activity holiday. |

WAKEBOARDING
| The latest and probably most significant addition to the range of
planing sports, that are towed behind a boat. It is a lot like snowboarding or
skateboarding with good crossover skills. There have been many attempts to come up with an alternative to Waterskiing, but Wakeboarding seems to be the most successful. It is already extremely popular and the equipment is developing, technically, very well. The sport is pursued at slower speeds than waterskiing but there is more AIR involved, and when you get good it can be quite gymnastic. Obviously a boat with a big wake is preferable, so the heavier the better. Here at Adventure St Tropez, we love Wakeboarding and have already introduced many people to the sport. It requires a little more determination than learning on two skis but loads of fun! We have a new boat this year with a wakeboard tower |
