Information on where to meet us for each day’s activities.<\/h4>\n

If you are staying with us for a week’s holiday we’ll arrange daily pick up points depending on whereabouts in the marina you’re staying. For those visiting us just for the day, we’ll pick you up from “Accueil” on the pontoon (next to the Capitainerie) marked on the map above. There is ample cheap (and free outside of July\/Aug) parking at the beach car park just off Avenue de la Plage.<\/p>\n

BY AIR<\/h3>\n

The South of France is now closer than ever! Fly to NICE or MARSEILLES<\/h4>\n

Budget Airlines are operating flights to NICE from most major airports at prices you can’t afford to miss! Flights normally range from \u00a3100 – \u00a3200 return and there are lots of choices. At peak times, the Major Airlines can be cheaper than the Budgets. So have a good look!<\/p>\n

Book your flights early. Check availability and if you see a good offer – BOOK IT QUICK!
\nWhilst Easyjet are the most popular British Airways can sometimes be cheaper – try them.
\nIt may also be worth travelling a little bit further in UK to another airport and budget airline.<\/p>\n

TRANSFER<\/h4>\n

We offer a transfer service to all our clients to and from the airports.
\nNOTE ON HOLIDAY TRANSFERS: We normally allow 3 hours for travelling and check in time for departures so please avoid early morning flights. Ideally choose late morning arrivals and afternoon departures. (Nice 60 miles, 1 1\/2 hours travel time). You may have to wait for other group members on other flights (ask Matt). Costs are \u00a330 each way. Min 4 persons. (1-3 persons please phone for price or available group transfer)
\nPlease note – <\/b>We are not responsible for late arrival and airport departures. Clients must agree their own journey times and traffic allowances. You are advised to check that your travel insurance covers missed flights through unforeseen hold-ups (they normally do!). It has never happened yet but is a possibility<\/p>\n

BY ROAD & FERRY<\/h3>\n

There are numerous ferry and rail channel crossing options. Suggested websites as follows :

If you are planning on driving in France then the Driving in France website – www.drive-france.com<\/a> – is a great resource for information, checklists, hints & tips.<\/p>\n

This option is worth pursuing if you are a group. You can share the driving and collectively match the air fares and transfers. It’s fun driving through France and you don’t have to wait around for baggage, buses and trains.<\/p>\n

Apart from your travel time in the UK, plus channel crossing time, it takes 10-12 hours to drive the 600+ miles from top to bottom of France. All routes go somewhere near PARIS but avoid going through it unless it’s early hours. If you get lost or confused just follow the signs to LYON. The A6 Autoroute, south of PARIS is probably the best bet to head for, but of course, it is a peage<\/b><\/i> route. All cars, minibus and camper vans are category 1 & will cost about \u00a350 – \u00a360 total North to South, but a van with no or only 1 side window is cat. 2. That will be around \u00a380.<\/p>\n

It’s an easy route to follow but when you get to LYON you can take the direct route through the city centre (normally some traffic) or take the East side on the A46 (fair bit longer), both join the A7 down towards MARSEILLE. You pick up the A8 shortly before AIX EN PROVENCE which takes you east towards ST. RAPHAEL and NICE. Turn off the autoroute at LE LUC ( also signposted autoroute to Toulon but immediately fork right to La Garde Freinet, be careful not<\/strong> <\/em><\/span>to go A57 to Toulon ) and then follow the signs to ST.TROPEZ along a beautiful but incredibly winding road through LA GARDE FREINET. If you follow the signs to ST.TROPEZ on the A8 autoroute you will go further, past LE LUC and come back via ST.MAXIME, longer but less winding.<\/p>\n

As you get closer you cannot go wrong if you follow the signs to ST.TROPEZ as you have<\/b><\/i> to pass MARINES DE COGOLIN.<\/p>\n

BY RAIL<\/h3>\n

This is a pretty straight forward way to travel. You go EUROSTAR from WATERLOO and, after changing at PARIS, travel on the fast French TGV trains all the way to ST RAPHAEL. You then take the bus as described on the Transfer <\/a>page. It’s not cheap but a saver fare will cost about \u00a3115 return. It’s quite speedy and you get to see France.
